We’d love to have you join us!
We have several great practice sessions coming up. Whether you’d like to work on conversation basics—like keeping a conversation going or handling those moments when you lose your train of thought—or go deeper with active listening and assuming positive intent, we have a practice for you.

Foundations of Conversation
Do you walk into a room and wonder how to approach a group of people? Once you’re in a conversation, do you sometimes struggle to keep it going—or realize you’ve been doing most of the talking? Maybe you’re ready to move on but don’t know how to leave without feeling rude.
Foundations of Conversation is a place to practice these everyday moments. Through low-pressure, facilitated group exercises, we’ll practice starting and joining conversations, finding things to talk about, sharing the conversational space, navigating pauses, and leaving gracefully.
Whether you’re new to this kind of practice or want to feel more comfortable in situations that still trip you up, there’s room for you here. You don’t have to know how to do it before you come. That’s why we practice.
Listening Closely, Speaking Honestly: Showing Up Authentically
November 17, 2026 Portsmouth NH
You’ve heard the term “active listening,” but you’re not sure what it looks like—or whether you’re doing it. You might feel comfortable starting and holding conversations, yet notice yourself judging what someone is saying or preparing your response before they’ve finished.
Or maybe conversation still feels uncomfortable. You’re so busy wondering how you’re coming across that it’s hard to focus on the person in front of you.
Have you ever walked away thinking, “Why did I say that? That’s not really how I feel”? Do you sometimes wonder whether people are getting to know you—or just the version of yourself you think they’ll like?
Come practice with us. Through low-pressure, facilitated group exercises, we’ll practice getting curious, giving each other room to think and speak, and sharing what we actually think and feel—with care for each other and room for the messiness of being human.
Whether conversation comes easily to you or you’re still getting comfortable with the basics, there’s room for you here.
Conversation Practice for Teams
Do you send your team to conferences hoping they’ll make connections, only to hear that they skipped the networking and headed back to their rooms? They may want to talk to people but feel unsure how to start—or what to do after the introductions.
Or maybe you notice people on your team hinting at what they mean, holding back questions, or saying what they think others want to hear.
These are moments we can practice.
Human Skills Practice offers low-pressure, facilitated group exercises tailored to your team. We can focus on starting and joining conversations at events, listening with curiosity, sharing ideas and concerns clearly, or a combination of these skills.
Let’s talk about where your team gets stuck and build a practice session that gives them room to try, learn, and get more comfortable talking to each other and the people they meet.
